Yep, its the fellowship thats the thing. You can have a conversation while riding a Harley. Its nice to be alone with your thoughts at times, but its also very nice to have a couple guys riding with you in case you have a problem. Ladies are also very, very welcome. That must be the reason Motorcycle Gangs are so popular. People like to belong, even the anti-social ones! Birds of a feather thing. When we have Charlie Crotch-Rocket in our group, racing ahead of us constantly, we ocassionally change the route we are following in the hopes the jerk will get lost. It even works once in awhile.

Exactly. I see on different rides that people like to hurry to get to the next bar. I think they've forgotten that it's that ride getting there that's the best. It is in my opinion anyway.

Sounds fine to me.

Must slow down to have a conversation with Derek and swap cajun chicken receipes with Gordon.

I thought bikers were usuallu guys who liked to avoid converations and crowds and be on the silence of the open road. Just them, their throbbing engines and their thougts.

I go walking/driving on my own. I am asked why don't I take someone with me.

That kind of loses the point as to why I am going.....

Thats why biker gangs hang around in packs with chains and grizzly chops and armoury. They are afraid of little old lone women like me. Boo!!!
