Well,as much as I really like my Buell Firebolt, its getting too rough on my tendinitis, so I sold it, and bought a Geezer Glide, a nice comfy bike, and the music is enjoyable. (now to find an unsuspecting pretty lady to ride on the back...any volunteers?)

Welcome to the family! I been glidding it since about 97 or so. My new Street Glide was the smoothest ride ever til some old lady hit me! Hope it will be all good again when I am able to ride again.

I have an 05 Fatboy back home in Alberta & an 08 StreetGlide down here. I love both of them but for comfort, a dresser is the way to go. Less bugs making a mess of you face to.

Quote:"Oh Yeah!!What do you mean I Guess?I have a sporty and its good to ride,so what is AMF era?
I keep tellin ya its those bloody derbys why you feel beat to shit!!LOL less..."

AMF was the sporting equipment MFG. that bought up H-D in the bad old days. just before it would have sunk on its own. The quality of the AMF years was worse than words can describe. (having owned 2 from that time, I know )by the time you get through exorcising all the demons, all thats left is a chopper.(if you're lucky) Once the Ironheads disappeared, Sportys were good, and reliable.

Unfortunately I never did find that particular genie!!! The one I found said, Just go buy cowboy boots with a taller heel.

I think that Genie had a hearing problem.

Dont count out the ironhead sporty, they are versitile bikes, and can be easily upgraded. there are cam sets that require no machine work to install, and will give alot of extra power. there are also jug sets that will give extra inches, and some pretty radical inches if you have the money to get the machining done. When doing performance upgrades, it is best to use Wiseco forged pistons, or someone's forged pistons, they last forever, and can take most anything you can dish out. The Ironhead is seasy to work on, and wont break the bank (too badly) .Look at what Buell did with them.

Well, I love my Geezer-Glide. Of course, I'm kind of like the guy who found a genie and wished for a longer - - - you know. Spent the rest of his life looking for another genie so he could get longer legs. In my case I need the longer legs to make me fit my Bike.

Bambi has lowered suspension, cut down seat - it's still a stretch for me. Hell, my feet don't quite reach the ground when I'm standing on them, much less sitting on the Glide.
