Hey all, this great young lady who it's been my honor to meet twice is bedridden for the today and tomorrow (Doctor's orders) in some severe pain. Thank goodness she has some decent meds. How about some prayers for her, huh? I'm sure she'll appreciate the support.

There are several things that can be done to help and even eliminate sciatic and Low back pain. I've helped hundreds of clients with these problems with great success, myself included. Sciatic pain can be helped with work to the piriformis muscle. Lower back besides the obvious back muscle, is the Psoas muscle. Also a great book to check out is Kit Laughlin's "Overcome Neck and Back Pain. Feel free to contact me for more info.

There's a very effective massage treatment for this. So there's no need to suffer. Get in touch with any reputable Medical Massage Therapist. You'll be amazed at how quickly the pain can be relieved

I feel for her, and hope the meds kick in, and hope it heals quickly!!! If you've never experienced it, a problem with the sciatic nerve can be (in my opinion) one of the most painfull things you can have. Imagine a red hot piano wire running from your lower back down the back of your thigh bone to your calf. Now pull the wire tight until your leg draws up and you start to wretch....

Had it 2 years ago, if I never get it again it will be too soon. The pain never lets up and it just puts ya in an all round nasty mood.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Hun!!

Soul Sister,

I thought that water came from water bottles! Was I mistaken?

We do need the rain..thanks for checking my perspective. It isn't all about me? ( more disappointment)

LOL! No, no! You're not mistaken. Water does come from bottles but they are still not full! Awww...heck with that! That can wait! LOL!

At this point, it's all about the ride! Have you seen the weather report? Temps in the 70's!
WHOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!

And I didn't even have to pray that long!

Soulbrother,

This is not just May...THIS IS DOWNRIGHT REDICULOUS! It's still snowing up here! This is crazy! Maybe the weather gods know that my back still needs a little more time, let alone the fact that we still need the water! LOL!

Praying hard, though!

The weekend of the 7th looks good and I just put some new platforms on...I need a backrest though...maybe just get you in the saddle long enough to enjoy but not enough to incite rebellion in your back..
offer stands.

Springer...You're on!

for what its worth to fellow sufferers of sciatica and degenerative discs;; there is information on web claiming a certain set of stretching exercises is beneficial.. my ortho man says these may make thigh muscles feel better but are bad for nerve itself

Thanks, Roxie! I so appreciate everyone's concern! I consider myself so fortunate to have new friends like you.
Went for my second adjustment. Doc said I couldn't get back on a bike for the next three weeks! (OMG...here I go again....WHAAAAAAAAAAA!!! slobber, slobber, snif, snif...) But thanks to Falcon, the math wiz, I'm counting the days till May 3rd and then I'm home free! WHOOOOHOOOOO!
So.....having said that...I will address this next portion of my message to "SSoul-brother": I will graciuosly accept your offer to rescue this femme fatale from her undeserved imprisonment (anybody gagging yet?) so she can once again feel the wind in her face and experience the freedom that only her Knight on Shining Chrome can bestow upon her.....(let me know if I'm going overboard here)....after the 3rd of May, of course! LOL! Springer, Thank you! That is a very nice gesture and if you are in town after the 3rd, well, I'd love to go for a putt! "I'll go! I'll go!"

Thank you Doc and SoldonHD! You know, I cannot believe how many people have had a similar experience and said the same thing about chiropractic care. Because of what happened, a friend turned me onto a great medical doctor who does chiropractic care! Talk about lucky! It only costs me 20 bucks a visit and the rest is billed to my insurance. I go again for the third time tomorrow. Now my right leg is bothereing me again. I didn't realize that what I was experiencing in my right leg, less than a year ago, was sciatica! It just wasn't nearly as bad as this time around and when I walked for a while it would go away, only to return in the morning. What's up with that, anyway? Why does that happen?
I know a person in town here who does deep muscle massage and I was wondering if that would help also? Is that what you were refering to Sold?

If it weren't for my chiropractor, I'd still be in a wheelchair. Lotsa alternatives that can really work wonders, I am living proof of that after 500,000+ miles on motorcycles and now living a normal active life after my L4/L5 vertabrae collapsed.

I was so impressed, I got him to teach me everything he could.

You might be down for a few days, weeks is not so likely although the doctor will be conservative in his estimates, it pays him to be cautious.

Backs can be mysterious ailments to diagnose.

Good luck, if you need advice, holler, I'll freely give you my experiences.

I hope everything works out for you. When I sustained a back injury the sciatic pain was excruciating and physically debilitating. It just takes time for the inflamation to subside.

Chiropractic care, homeopathic remedies and the judicious application of DMSO helped me imensely.
